Those words on the medal provide a fitting summary. This was my first trail race, first endurance event, first time running in a relay team and first time camping and trying to run too.
The whole experience was superb. The atmosphere was brilliant, I was in a team of 8 and we had a real laugh.
The course was beautiful, albeit dry and dusty in places, it was undulating without any real killer hills. At 5 miles it was a good distance.
In terms of facilities there were plenty of toilets, showers, camping space, food and drink as well as a DJ, fire pit to keep warm at night and a Blues Brothers tribute act in the woods.
I will definitely do this event again and would recommend it highly to others.
