Being from Swansea, I had always run the Swansea Bay 10k, so when there was a half marathon being announced it was met with a buzz around the city. The closest half to us is the Cardiff half but it was finally time to get my half PB in my home town. 

Entry was very simple and straight forward with the price reflecting well against other similar size halves. Contact from the organisers was often and informative and I felt very prepared on arrival on the day. 

The course itself began in the town centre and led out along the beautiful Swansea bay. The views in this race really are stunning, with the best of the views in the second half of the race which really helped when the legs were flagging!

the Swansea crowds were out in force and they definitely helped raise the atmosphere on race day (something Swansea is always good at)

I met my half PB of 2hrs 10 in this race!! 

The medal is good quality and has a well though out design and the race village had plenty of stands and information areas for once you had finished

Well done Swansea half, a very special race!
