2018 and the course (and name) changed - and produced an even hillier but more scenic course.
Registration was simple and effective. Facilities were good.
A decent race briefing and warm up.
Although it wasn’t closed roads there was enough room to pass and didn’t affect pace.
The route went through the beautiful Crimple Valley - meaning plenty of hills. A section over fields and through woodlands was great (the later providing useful shade). Some good fast downhills and a challenging uphill finish over the final km.
Decent medal and mug at the finish. Chip timing results came through quickly on a text. Full results later that day. I’d do again next year.
