← Swansea Half Marathon
This is the 2nd time I have run this race and second time around was as fun as the first one.
It is hard to find fault. Highlights for me:-
- £30 early bird / unaffiliated price is a great price, decent medal and nice tech running shirt.
- Scenic race, particularly when you get out to the Mumbles.
- Pretty well supported throughout, great support in the finishing straight.
- The course is set up for PBs though the sun probably ended many of those hopes this year!
The national anthem at the start got the locals singing, my suggestion that it should have been followed by 'God save the queen' or 'Football's coming home' was met with a few laughs.
Swansea and the Gower coast makes the race an ideal choice for a long weekend.
It is easy to see why this race wins awards.
