← The Hampshire Hoppit Trail Marathon & Half Marathon

the race was held with HQ at a farm field. Not on satnav so extra details given by email to ensure you didn't get lost. Lots of Marshall's to help in HQ, the queue for race numbers were moving quickly and info was being given over PA at all times. The race started once everyone had been to bag drop and registration which was nice. First big hill was expected as its famous for it but still doesn't really prepare you. The course was picture perfect, mix of fields, gravel paths, tiny bit of road and wooden area. The Marshall's were amazing and one was particularly great and enthusiastic, you could hear her way before you saw her. The organisers had traffic control which is great to see too. The only down side was the bottle neck at the first mile or two. I guess the only way to overcome this would be to have a slightly staggered start to thin out the runners. The photographers were great as ever, embarrassingly he recognised me and shouted to me which is actually a nice touch. The pics I think are also free. The medal and goodie bag at the end was great, you got a engraved glass and option of beer to fill it or shandy, everyone was catered for. It's a great event for everyone. Not a moody person in sight, which is always a good sign after a race. Would I run it again? Definitely
