Inaugural running of this event but hope it’s here to stay. Online registration easy and good value for money with option to buy a t-shirt, which I took up given uniqueness of having an event in a small home village. Grabbing number and bag check very straightforward especially given not a huge event. Good briefing and warm up and then off along beautiful course across Ditton meadows and along river with 2 crossings. Good support at finish, medal and water for bargain price.

Would definitely recommend.

Please note the footpaths are not closed but regular running routes so you are mixing with non competitors like some park runs but people are aware with very good marshalling. Also the lock requires climbing steps to cross the river and there are 3 gates on the return but not a problem and still a fast run. 

Minor quibble that the course seemed a little shorter than 5 miles but easily fixed with a lap of the recreation ground.

Great cause for new pavilion and bbq and ice creams looked great. As a local would highly recommend the village pubs for food and refreshment.
