One of my favourite 10ks, this is the 4th time I have run the race.

The start is outside the Minster and it is quite narrow, especially at the turns, for the first km.

Once you leave Beverley, there is a long slow hill at 3km, which lasts about 1.5km, which takes you through Westwood.

Two water stations with cardboard cups (note to self to take my own bottle next year to decant water, as I can't drink out of cups on the go...)

The last 3km is all a gradual downhill back into Beverley town centre.

The crowd support is excellent, the finish in particular is lined on both sides for the final 700m - which fools me each year as I think the finish is closer than it actually is!

Water, fruit and medal on the finish line,  and a walk to the leisure centre for your t shirt.

An excellent race that is well organised, inexpensive, friendly, and well supported.

See you again next year.
