← Lichfield Half Marathon

We always say that we can’t contril the weather... and today the sun came out with force. 26c at one point.

So with this in mind, I want to thank the race organisers and Marshall’s who put on extra water and ensured runners were safe.

The race registration was easy and communication updated on social media regularly. Parking and pre race was ample. Not a huge amount of toilets but we arrived early enough not to be an issue.

The route was beautiful, very rural and scenic. Meandering around the Whittington & Fradley- small villages that meant support was scare in between.

First 8 miles were flat and even down, the rail crossing well manned and then a 4 mile climb back into Lichfield.

Beautiful medal depicts the iconic Cathedral, a basic white sponsors tshirt (wasn’t expecting one so a bonus to change into) and water bottle along with banana & water.

Great race event.
