This was my third time doing Brighton Marathon. I have enjoyed it previoiusly which is why I keep coming back. I picked my number up from the expo on Saturday. I was expecting it to be really busy and be queuing for a long time, this year it was really quick and easy. There were no busy queues, I was in and out within a few minutes. I feel Brighton have definitely improved on this since last year.

The route isn't pancake flat even though its advertised as a flat course. It appears that they have changed the route slightly this year and have added in a few more hills! I seemed to find it more difficult than previous years!

The first 9 miles seem to be very up and down and a few steep hills! The water stations are quite frequent, around every 3 miles. I felt the weather was rather kind to us this year unlike last year when it was really hot!

I felt the crowd support were really amazing and out of this world. There is crowd support along most of the course. The spectators were constantly calling out my name and cheering me on which definitely gives me a lift.

I managed to get a PB on this course, it is a PB course. It is much flatter in the second half than the first half.

The medal and goodie bag is pretty decent, you also get a free pint of beer at the end which you didn't get last year.
