← Blackpool Festival of Running
Despite very different weather the two days of the Blackpool Festival of Running were both amazing.
On the Saturday it was glorious. I ran the 5k with my mother in law whilst my wife ran the 10k. There was also a 2k which many youngsters ran. The course was nice and easy, the support was great and it was a real family event.
On the Sunday I ran the marathon, it was wet and windy. The atmosphere was a bit more serious. The course was two laps up and down the front. With the first lap containing the half marathon runners there was a busy feel but still plenty of space. The second lap for just marathon runners was way more spread out.
I really enjoyed the whole weekend. The bling was excellent, the events were well organised and marshalled and I will definitely do more FCR events.
