This is the fourth time that I've completed this course now and as it is my local marathon it is my go to for my annual marathon that I force myself do each year just to prove that I can still do it the older that I get.

Everything is very well organised from the moment that you arrive. The bag drop is superb now that they got that glitch sorted and no problems with a quick drop off and collection.

Everything is always well sign posted up to the start and as always with every major running event there are never enough toilets for everybody. 

I lined up in the yellow pen with the 4 hour pacer and as there were lots around him I ran just a little ahead. The course is relatively flat but every incline is seen as a hill no matter how small it is on the day. Lots of potholes on the day on the actually road which should be filled before a major event like this but that;s my only negative. The on course support is outstanding, get your name on your shirt and you will be screamed home and that helps a lot.

Will I do this next year? Maybe just have to wait and see.
