← Brighton Half Marathon
Another year & another fantastic race with the added challenge of -2 cold conditions.I started with a goal of 1 hour 55 mins.i got to the start which was well marshalled with volunteers helping with bag drop & roads.I got in to my pen & 3,2,1 Go Go go I was off ! cheers from the massive crowds in sunny skies & before you know it was a water station.well marshalled & well stocked. I was on target till the wind picked up from mile 11, a challenging head wind which was fun & i had the full support from the cheering crowds & volunteers. IT'S THE HOME straight .... I dig in with head down & go for it ! Then a hear a voice & yes it's fat boy slim.we look each other & look at the finishing line which was about 500 yards away. I say let's go & we both race to the line & punch the air.
