← BHF Tower of London run

This was a charity fun run around the moat of the Tower of London. It’s either 5 or 10 laps of 1k each with start times to suit. Registration was simple and with a short briefing off we went.

It was quite fun being in the moat with all the history of the Tower. I was running with a few colleagues and whilst everyone had a different pace you could keep track of people when passing by on the loops.

In 2017 the weather was awful, it rained all day. Unsurprisingly the moat doesn’t have the best drainage. But we got used to the water jumps.

There was a small medal and a decent T shirt at the finish. I’d probably do it again hoping for better weather. It’s a wonderful place to run in what is unusually inaccessible to the public.
