I booked this race as part of the UKrunchat package, which meant none of the hassle arranging getting to the event or the process around getting my race number.

Overall I enjoyed the race, it's a simple out and back with nothing much to look at but sometimes that's what you need to focus on the race.

It was very warm and the last few miles saw the sun really starting to come out. The elevation (viewing it on Strava after) was actually more undulating than I was expecting but I think this course does offer PB potential.

The organisation around the bag drop needs to be improved. The sticky labels put on the front of our bags peeled off easily and some lost their bags in the process, eventually found after a lot of waiting around.

The local support wasn't great which could be due to the start time. A later start time though would have meant unbearable heat.

To grow the event I think it needs a few tweaks bit it's not a million miles away.
