← MK Winter Half Marathon

This was a race I was using for training - I had no intention of going all out for this race but the first 10K of this race is considerably quick and the only place I think you'd really lose time is in mile 10 due to the hill being a bit of a drag - but this can be made up on mile 11 which is almost entirely down hill. I did in fact get an unintentional PB as a result!

I'd say the course was spot on and better than other MK courses I've done in the past. There wasone place where marshalls were still letting cars through as runners were passing and I had a "fox caught in a headlights" moment as I crossed. There was also another minor crossing with no marshalls on a housing estate towards the end, which I didn't realise until I was half way across the road so was lucky. I wouldn't let this put you off though as otherwise the marshalls and other volunteers did a pretty good job.

Nice finishers medal and tee, and was good to get some water with a lid so I could keep it with me whilst doing a cool-down.
