It was a good event, but yes it was tough - I've done IM Wales and found the run portion of this to be harder than the full IM wales marathon! Was not expecting that mammoth hill out of the lake!! could be used as a selling point to some I suppose I Enjoyed it though. My only minor gripes were: The bike feed station: Im used to grabbing a bottle as I ride past, I slowed down but found none of the team were even looking at me so had to stop, unclip and grab a bottle before getting going again - both laps It would have also been good to have a bag drop for kit after the event, the stash of clothes I put in my bag had to be placed at transition and due to the weather they got soaked, even inside the bag Finally, the 2 lap run: While 2 laps in itself is not a problem - I really didn't like going down the finishers chute after the first lap...it would have been better to loop and come down it once at the end. It sort of took the shine off actually going through it at the end, confusing for spectators also . A photographer was there for the first lap, but not the lap when I actually finished (cant seem to find any finisher pics either) Great event though, Overall I had a great time - keep up the good work!
