Could do better.

I stayed in a hotel a 10min walk from the start which was easy enough to find.

Once at the village the toilet queue and bag drop were the longest I’ve ever seen - they said they would hold the start until the queues were cleared (which they did).

On the course it’s mostly very pretty along the grand union canal, a few residential areas and along some parks & along some dual carriageways and under tunnels were less than inspiring.

The course is perfectly circular but it’s winding you really have little idea where you are in relation to the finish. The finish isn’t visible until you are 100m away.

The aid stations were good, plenty of water and jelly babies at each - I can’t really complain about them. Support out on course was minimal and only at the aid stations.

being towards the back I couldn’t always see anyone in front, there were a couple of occasions where signage wasn’t obvious and there were no marshals to direct and risked going the wrong way.

Medal and tee were nice, albeit saying 2017 due to reschedule.

Probably wouldn’t be in any urgency to go back.
