the main draw for me with this race was the chance to run on closed roads in Central London. The route covers my morning walk to work so that was a novelty.
Well organised event, like any event of this size (around 15,000 runners) the start was a bit of a pain with lots of hanging around and shuffling forward to wait some more for your chance to start. The annoying MC and warm up trainer were not helpful. I heard the same routine 3 times.
Anyway the point is that you're there to run and it's a great course, out of Trafalgar Square and up the Strand to The Aldwych is not a bad start! The course is flat (60m elevation over the 10k) and consequently fast. A real mix of runners in every wave, lots of "fun runners" and a good friendly atmosphere. The people in the polar bear costumes were a bit lame and the "snow zones" were also unimpressive - not that these mattered to me in the slightest but I guess it would all be part of Human Race's price justification. I'd rather have had a lower entry price. The medal was nice.
Overall I'm glad that I did this race and would recommend it. Good organisation, to be expected from Human Race, but overpriced, again to be expected from Human Race.
