well, what can I say?
runthrough events are great, you get a consistency of approach and great value.
You register online and collect your number when you arrive, saves on cost.
we arrived in heavy sleet/snow and were not sure if the event would even go ahead.
It was going ahead.... and this meant that the marshals had a sense of responsibility to keep us safe. They briefed us on the course, to make sure we took it easy and didn’t go for PBs.
The route was good, so glad it was one loop not laps! It was kind of pretty in the snow. Definitely distracted us from the running, and the slush accumulating in our shoes.
The marshals were excellent on the course, they must have been cold!
The medals were lovely. And the flapjacks never tasted so good.
