← Langley 7

People run some events for Charity. Some events are organised for charity. This is one such race, raising money for the Rossendale Trust who have a centre just outside of Langley Village, which the race passes in the first mile.

The course starts outside of the church in the centre of Langley, set off with a seasonal firework. The roads aren't closed but they're quiet and there was little traffic issue at all.

The course highlights it has one hill. It also highlights that there's beer, a cake sale and hot drinks at the end! Another nice touch was full names on the race numbers as well as an adjective with the same initial - a lot of fun!

The hill is challenging and gets steeper as you reach the top. From there, it's panoramic views across the Cheshire Plain before a descent which is equally challenging in parts due to the steep gradient. At the point when you think you're back to earth, you double back onto a trail path (to avoid a stretch of road which is without pavements) before a finish by the reservoir.

It was in our club race series. I've done it before, but several of the group hadn't, and they all commented how much they enjoyed the course.

This is a 7 mile race for your bucket list if you're in the NW area.
