| .it is a good race, well run, slick, good bling and a good quality shirt, head just sound of the cricket ground for the best location to park, as coming from north of the ground will have you fighting the closed roads. runners village has a good feel with everything you needed, did not see any waiting for the toilets at any point. As I was pacing price not rated on, but for a good city half it is a reasonable price. Tied in with this is that you really do not see the City, however if you did I Know the price would sky rocket this is hoe these things work. The walk to the start is a bit strange, but when you look at the profile you understand this is to make the course as fast as possible. you gain height at the start which you then lose for the first few miles. So I can see the logic, Also it places your family and friends near some cafes they can use while you set out on the first 5km or so, at which point they can see you pass before they trot down to the finish. The route it self is simple, you can see the football ground at the start if that gets you going. A few kerbs to look out for but nothing out the ordinary. All in all a stable 1/2 Marathon at a reasonable price.. Oh, but the Pacers are awesome. ( and they get a vip box to stand around in ) |
