While mom and dad had previously done mud-runs (Spartans even!), it was the first time for the kiddos - and as a family we very much enjoyed the fun obstacles, especially the MUDDY mud-pit finish line!

This was a GREAT first experience to test your abilities. However, the equipment seemed outdated. The pre-race information was not clear because the microphones were not working. The stations also were too crouded to really tackle the race in a decent speed. The mud part was fun and am extremely happy it is dog friendly. I think for the short 2 laps the tickets were a bit over priced, but would say any age would have fun doing this. It is a great way to raise money for any cause!

Glad you had fun!And you are correct, its a great way to raise money for any school, team or charity, as we raised over $3,000 that day for several different organizations. We also appreciate your input, but i have to say that the microphones (we had two) worked perfectly fine that day, and the equipment is far from outdated, in fact it's some of the best in the industry, as our 3 best obstacles are all less than 3 years old and constructed from the best aluminum truss you can buy!Thanks again, and hope to see you next year.

THIS SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN CALLED A MUD RUN!!! It was an obstacle course that had ONLY ONE obstacle with mud (a mud pit with something to crawl under). We went for the mud and were very disappointed when we learned what it really was. Also, some of the "obstacles" weren't even obstacles (like "do 10 push-ups"). If you want to do a mud run, I would NOT recommend this event. That being said, my daughter and I still had fun. We got to go around the course twice, doing different obstacles each time, but the mud pit both times. The event was laid back, so we got our fill of mud by wallowing and playing in the mud pit for quite some time before crawling through on our second lap.

Thanks for your input and glad you had fun! Sorry that you feel there should be more mud, but we make it VERY clear throughout our website that not only will there be 1 "mud pit" (that you go through twice), but we also make it very clear that we are an entry level event and all our obstacles are very doable and unintimidating, and some people don't want too much mud. Additionally we host our events in very nice, and easily accessible venues, like the Fair Lawn Memorial pool, and one of the conditions we must adhere to in order to have access to great locations like that is to not destroy the facilities, so we usually aren't allowed more than one mud pit. Lastly, all mud runs, and obstacle races have aspects like push ups and burpees, but that in no way takes away from the 10 - 12 other great obstacles in our race like a 30 foot double inflatable wall, or the 12 foot rope climb, or the 10 foot cargo net with hoist, or the heavy jump ropes or the slip wall ect.. ect... Again, thanks for attending!

I felt the race was great & a perfect introduction to mus runs. The kids had a blast. What I could have done without was the guy on the microphone. A lot of the parents said the same. He didn’t really add much & his political commentary wasn’t needed. The kids don’t get that stuff so it went over their heads & for the parents it was the last thing we wanted to listen to on a Sat at an event with our kids. He bordered on obnoxious & we actually avoided him bc we didn’t want him approaching us with his mic or comments.

Thanks for the review, glad you enjoyed it! The MC is a well known comedian who is known for impersonations, so we were excited to have him there, but he had never done an event like ours, so it was a learning process. We hire talent like that sometimes.

My six year old and I had a blast with this race. The obstacles were super fun. Because it was a cooler day, the mud was a tough sell as they routinely sprayed cold water on it to keep it muddy. My three year old can’t wait till she is big enough to join in the fun!
