I've done this event for many years now . unfortunately the changes they make this year have put myself off from doing it again. Issue was the fencing they put up around the car parks and blocking of assess from the hive car park to croft road. this created a very over crowed area in croft car park with trade stands confused runner and spectators. as someone who is claustrophobic it wasn't pleasant! . only one option for toilets with a que so long I took one look at it at 8:30 and decided it wasn't an option. unable to warm up properly as in past years most runner have used croft road. when they let every one out I'm surprised no one fell over the low fence on the exit. Also got fast and slow runners all mixed up as no one knew what was going on. I was hoping to have a go at my PB as I felt I was in good condition to do so, but due to issues at the start I binned that idea. I spent most of the running wounding where I could take a pee, fortunately the was 2 toilets 8k in but I needed to wait to use them. It make sense for people to be able to cross the road behind the start in croft road you couldn't do that this year you needed to walk down a over crowed footpath and cross at the junction for croft road / dolday / n quay . The start spoilt it for me. I was lucky to get my race number to as the address was slightly wrong! The box with the t shirt was in, had a very slightly different address to the envelop in side. they may have used one of those auto address thing because it went to a neighbour. the evolve address was correct but the box it was inside was wrong!

Really good course, well organised and good atmosphere. I enjoyed it a lot. To improve: I was aiming for sub 50, I started with the 50 minute pacer and he zoomed off into the distance. I got to 5k in 23 mins and he was still out of sight. So he was no help to people like me who would have liked an even paced 50 mins.

In comparison to last year, I felt this year's event was poorly organised at the start/finish area. Getting into and out of the 'event village' was awkward and made leaving after the race very disorganised - there were lots of people trying to get out and no signage . The start was incredibly poorly organised, it appeared that even the pace setters weren't sure where to go or how to get there - barriers blocked the obvious routes, and signage was very poor. We then had to filter through the crowd to try to get to a suitable starting point. I'm also glad I didn't use bag drop this year - the queue for collection was ridiculous and caused more issues for those trying to leave. If this had been my first race, I certainly wouldn't sign up again, and I'm still in two minds about signing up for this race again, especially with the experience friends had with parking - at least one person missed their race even though they gave themselves well over an hour to find parking.

15th year of participation in this.usually excellent event in a row. This one felt different and not in a good way. The late start , over eager road blocks for pedestrians and an appalling bag drop off location spoilt and otherwise normally excellent event. Felt like the parents had left the room and the child had taken over.the management. The bag drop collection was chaos. I waited for an hour in the rain to find the system for collecting my bag was ridiculous. Absolutely no idea. Let the runners.collect their own bags ! And accept that you might have one or two issues rather than inconvenience everyone for hours while they go cold, hungry and late. Active foot company did themselves no favours today. Crossing the road is normally painless. But today was made impossible, over mothering the public leads to anger and frustration. When I raised the bag drop chaos to a martial I was met with " you will have to pay more if you want it managed better with more martials". Perhaps the very late request for volunteer martials from the managers was more the reason for the poor organisation and logistics. Perhaps my last time doing Worcester 10k.

This is a super event and amazing for the city of worcester. Flat, well supported and the route takes you around the lovely features of the city. Two bits of advice. More toilets needed. I have seen male, pop up urinals at other events which are quick and take the pressure of the loos. Also, prior to the 10k it was very crowded in the village. If there had been an emergency it could have been dangerous.

Parking needs to be improved. Very little parking available. I had to jump out to get to start line on time and hope that the family could park, they endednup quite far away hich ruined their experience. Really bad organisation for this, which let the whole day down. Everything else went very smoothly.
