Brilliant and very challenging half. Don't run it for your PB! Loved the views and the staf we're super friendly and loved the intimate atmosphere, with only about 50 runners taking part. Great event and will definitely try to come back!

It is a tough route but beautiful. It was hot this year so maybe an extra water station would have been great. They left bottles of water by a gate but they were all gone. The 2 marshal points were v well stocked by v happy supportive marshals. When you cross the road out of the golf club, it would have been useful to have a marshal as its a blind bend and v dangerous crossing point. The finish was good but most the food had gone but I should have run faster !. Nice medal and t shirt. Would recommend this run. Would look at their other races for next year

One of the toughest marathons I've ever run, so hilly & very hot. A real sense of achievement to finish this! Using the gpx plus the red & white tape I didnt get lost at all (& I have form for that). Smoothly run & well organised, brilliant, friendly marshalls too. Only changes I'd like to see are more savoury choice at aid stations...mini sausages, pretzels or sausage rolls maybe? And far less plastic...please go cupless, use brown paper bags for goodie bags & offer a Trees Not Ts option, almost all events do these things now. I'd definitely consider it again, all the more so if you persuade an ice cream van to come to the finish!
