This is an excellent race, I liked the course which is entirely on closed roads and a nice run through the countryside. It was well organised in all the essentials, plenty of marshals, clear directions (not that they were needed with so many runners), very professional, good atmosphere and support from people along the route especially near the finish. It's a fast course and mostly flat though with a few overpasses and slight hills. With nearly 3,000 runners it is quite a big race and the event village felt a bit congested at times. The bag drop tent was very efficient though positioned at the end of a muddy field and a long way from the changing rooms. Plenty of refreshments with two coffee vans, a cafe, and a number of other food stalls. We were lucky with the weather which stayed dry and it was a lovely event. The car parks are quite a long way from the start which is not ideal but probably nothing the organisers can do about that. Another thing to note is that the course is a bit congested from start to finish unless, I presume, you run very fast or very slow! The roads are quite narrow and for some sections you only have half the road because of runners in both directions. Not too bad though and I gladly recommend the race as a well organised half marathon with a good course.
