Sports tours always put on a great race and this was no different.
staff and support was very good, medal is great, price was cheap as chips.
only thing for next time is the check if the sun is coming out to play. it was very hot on the day and as the course is very open, might need my hat an sunglasses..

My second ever 10k and I enjoyed it. The start was well organised and it was great to race from the athletics track. The warm up was too cramped and the start difficult, hard to even get out of the stadium and they should have staggered runners better, but once out it was fine. Course wasn't amazing, quite residential/urban (shock!) but fine for me. Nice medal and tshirt. Will race again next year!

The race itself is fun and friendly and is a relatively quick route if you're aiming for a PB. The setting at the start and the finish is good, being the sports track next to the Ethiad stadium.
The only issue was getting off the car park after the race. Due to where the car parks are, you had to wait for all runners to finish before cars were allowed to leave. If I was aware of it beforehand, I would have stuck around in the stadium for longer rather than sit in my car.

I've entered this race for the last 3 years now - largely because the early bird entry fees are so cheap for a 10k with a medal and T-shirt!
The course itself isn't anything to write home about to be honest, as it's just going round some housing and industrial estates in East Manchester, but it's mostly flat. On a sunny day, however, it can get very hot as there's little-to-no shade on the route.
Athlete's village is always good, with freebies and games for the kids too.
After the main 10k, there's also a couple of Toddler Trot races (400m lap of the athletics track) with a medal - one for 0-4 year olds, and the other for 5-8 year olds.
T-shirt and medal are good, only gripe is that they don't vary much from year to year.
Overall it's a good event, and I'm sure I'll be back again next year!

First time doing the we❤️Mcr 10K.
Arrived at the Etihad at around 8:30, just before the surrounding roads closed. The race was due to start at 9:30, but was delayed until 9:45. Getting to the start was not as easy as anticipated, with lots of last minute runners unsure of where to go (including myself... toilet queues for ladies!).
The race starts on the running track, and then proceeds on to the surrounding roads. There's not a great deal of things to see on this route, but it's relatively flat.
My only issue would be that there was only one water station at the 5k mark. This wouldn't usually have been an issue, but with it being a ridiculously hot day, more frequent water would have been helpful.
Medal and goody bag were great, and the marshals were fanstastic. Lots of support from everyone. Would definitely do this race again (hopefully on a cooler day!)

First race as part of a seven event fundraiser for Mind Charity. First time doing this race too. The start and finish is great, on an athletics track next to the Etihad stadium, though the cheeky hill/incline near the finish is a bit steep (pun intended).
The crowds were great and the route ok. The bag drop was a bit stressful but easy to get out once the bag was actually dropped.
good race, decent medal.

First time I have done the We love Manchester 10k. Arrived there at 7.50 (surrounding roads closed at 8.30) & decided we would park in the bottom car park as the literature that was posted through said that the top car park would be closed until the last runner finished. When we got there we were told to park in the top car park & had to wait. Not sure what the reasoning was for this?
Onto the race. The race started as advertised after a 15 minute warm up from the running track inside the Etihad stadium campus. Doing half a lap of the track onto the surrounding roads finishing back on the running track. The roads were slightly undulating but nothing too drastic with water at the start & finish with a further water station at 5k.
To access the start people had to go through the athlete village which was good with plenty of stalls. The baggage storage was easily accessible with no queue for a £1 charge going to charity & from what I could see the on the day registration looked efficient too. There were plenty of toilets around although they could have been signposted better as the ones near the village had massive queues while the ones across were empty.
Although the track & stadium were pleasant to run on the roads around were nothing special but free from traffic with good signposting of the route with plenty of marshals.
All in all a well organised run with excellent facilities at a reasonable price that included posted number & finishers goodie pack with (decent) medal & (decent) technical shirt. A decent run which I would have no hesitation in doing again.

Good Race ruined by lack of water at the end!
This is a great race as it's fairly flat.
It starts and ends on the running track at the back of the Etihad which also adds an almost professional athlete feeling at the end. Sporadic support once you leave the Ethiad area and not really any decent scenery.
When I finished and there was literally no water. No explanation given despite asking for one!
I'd most likley do it again as it's a really quick race, but the deffo need a bit more planning and support on it.
T-Shirt was ok and medal was meh to average
