Running this race during the middle of a 3week heatwave in 29C heat was tough- they had super soakers on route to cool you down which was great. Having a water station to fill own cup would have been better but understand logistics of doing this in middle of old colliery site wo...

Running this race during the middle of a 3week heatwave in 29C heat was tough- they had super soakers on route to cool you down which was great.

Having a water station to fill own cup would have been better but understand logistics of doing this in middle of old colliery site would be tough.

Email received couple of says before reminding participants to ensure they stayed hydrated and extra water provided at finish line.

Course route was nice and about half was shaded through trees.

Live this little local race and good value for money.
