Overall, this was a Good first experience. The beginning of the course was a little tough as a part of the route was going through grass that was not mowed. The path could be more clearly marked to avoid mistakes (wrong turns). I was glad to have people to follow to avoid gett...

Overall, this was a Good first experience. The beginning of the course was a little tough as a part of the route was going through grass that was not mowed. The path could be more clearly marked to avoid mistakes (wrong turns). I was glad to have people to follow to avoid getting lost. The path had allot of holes and cracks that were not always clearly marked which can cause allot of accidents. Communication was Great and the organization was top tier. I would definitely do this again.

One area of the 5k was not marked well and a group of approximately 8 made a wrong turn. Maybe spray paint the arrows on the path instead of relying on traffic cones that can be accidentally bumped causing confusion for runners.

Communication prior to the race was good. The shirts and medals were nice as usual and I love supporting Wood Lake. Please revisit the 5k route for next year. I almost tripped on the grass at the start of the route, as the path was not mowed/cleared well. Additionally, the pathway through Veterans Park is in horrible condition and it was very congested.

This was so fun! I came from out of state and it was neat to see such a well supported local event. It was easy to sign up, even up until race time. Glad to know the race entry goes to supporting nature and education locally. The course was a fun mix of parks with lakes and neighborhood streets. So many neighbors came out to cheer us on. Many had sprinklers on which was appreciated on a warm July morning. Streets were super well marked and staffed with so many volunteers throughout the whole course. Good snacks at the finish, and a unique wood medal. Would definitely run this again! Richfield should be super proud of this event.
