The course was good - the organisers couldn't do much about the mud and the weather, and there would have been fantastic views in the sunshine - but all very enjoyable and would definitely recommend!

My first ever proper Trail Race, and boy it's a different kettle of fish compared to road races!! The route was scenic and diverse, well set up and easy to follow, but my goodness it was tough - the conditions certainly made things tricky, especially going up steep sections with slippery mud underfoot... Lovely, chilled event overall in a really beautiful spot - I did enjoy it a lot, despite my protestations above! May well try one of the other events if they are organised in a similar fashion, or have another crack at it next year. Thanks to Mike and his team for organising and running events like this

This was a well organised race with various distances from 21k to 5k and a 5k canicross. I did the 10k and really enjoyed the views and course despite it being a tad muddy after all the rain we had. It was perfect running weather cool with a bit of drizzel and the aid stations were well supplied with tasty sweets & fruit. The venue at the start and finish was perfect with refresments and food. I loved it so much I have signed up for the Bluebell Bash

A really good event overall! Suggestions for improvement would be to move the start line to after the courtyard as proper bottleneck at the start with concrete bollards. Some of the course needed firming up a bit, whilst I appreciate the rain recently, it was dangerously slippe...

A really good event overall! Suggestions for improvement would be to move the start line to after the courtyard as proper bottleneck at the start with concrete bollards. Some of the course needed firming up a bit, whilst I appreciate the rain recently, it was dangerously slippery on a couple of the downhills. Also, I would advise kit checks on canicross entries as this is for the dogs and other runners safety. Other than that.. a really well run event in a very scenic part of the world.... thanks for having us!

Really friendly race. Great comms leading upto the event. The course was a good trail course with a mixture of terrains but more than enough big long muddy hills. There was the odd tight squeeze in places through the woods but thats the countryside for you. Aid stations were really well stocked even though I didnt feel the need to use them the goodies at them were very tempting. Facilities were very good with proper toilets that had no ques and enough paper. Defiantly an event to be proud if and I look to move up a distance in the future.
