I did the Ultimate Weekend over the 70.3 distance. On the 56 mile bike ride (first ride at this distance) I had a crash in the last mile or so (nothing to do with anyone in the event but some random local cyclist who clipped my bike on passing and send me flying) I managed to finish the last bit on foot pushing the bike as the derailleur hanger was bent, in order to get a time and was tended to promptly and efficiently by the UK Triathlon team and excellent paramedics from AlfaMed who stitched up my lacerated elbow. I managed to finish the half marathon the next day albeit slowly with another lady and the organisers and volunteers weren’t at all fazed about having to wait for us and nothing was too much trouble for them. It was really hot over the weekend and every effort was made to ensure safety and comfort of the competitors. So it’s a big thumbs up for me for this event 👍

This was my first long-distance tri and I was super impressed with how friendly and low key the event was. Multiple laps meant supporters had lots of opportunity to cheer and although I initially thought I wouldn't like doing laps it meant you could tick them off once completed. ...

This was my first long-distance tri and I was super impressed with how friendly and low key the event was. Multiple laps meant supporters had lots of opportunity to cheer and although I initially thought I wouldn't like doing laps it meant you could tick them off once completed. Being allowed a friend or headphones on the run helped enormously when getting tired. And the 7am start wasn't too uncivilised. I'm recommending this event to everyone I know.

A brilliantly organised and very friendly ironman distance event. Although I was the last athlete to complete the race, the organisers told me that they would wait for me to finish, no matter how long it took - what a contrast to some bigger more expensive events I know! For safety reasons, we had to complete the run off-road once it became dark, and this slowed us down to walking pace, but at least I completed the distance. Many thanks to the organisers and the brilliant volunteers, especially Keith who accompanied me on the last 15km, and the feed station staff who stayed to give me drink and nutrition.

My first Ironman distance race. It was perfect from start to finish. The information pack came through in plenty of time. Easy to park at the venue and registration was simple . The lake was nice and the ride was simple but hard work. The run is great and you can catch family and friends at loads of different points. The drink stations are well stocked and the staff are super motivating. Especially the ladies on the bike turning point. I can not speak highly enough of the staff who take there time to walk with you if your struggling and announcing everybody who crossed the line. Hats of UK Triathlon

Very well organised event. This was my first relay triathlon and the organisers were very accommodating and approachable. They even let the swimmer tag along for for half the ride. The atmosphere was excellent and everyone was massively supportive of each other. My only criticism...

Very well organised event. This was my first relay triathlon and the organisers were very accommodating and approachable. They even let the swimmer tag along for for half the ride. The atmosphere was excellent and everyone was massively supportive of each other. My only criticism is some of the route took place along busy A-Roads. Although I understand there really isnt other options, it was still uncomfortable with lorries coming past at speed.

UK Ultimate Triathlon was my 1st ironman - i'd selected it based on previous reviews saying it was a fun, inclusive, well organised event. I would agree having now completed it :) The course is favourable, although only the run is closed, there are a few main roads on the bike course for anyone who is not a fan. The lake swim was incredible. Marshalls were very friendly and even with Covid conditions there were still plenty of supporters shouting everyone on, not just their friends and family. Would recommend this event
