Fantastic & flawlessly organised event by the guys at UK Triathlon. Many thanks to all the volunteers & marshalls for putting on a great race for all. 

The course is suitable for beginners & also experienced athletes looking for a PB - with a fast bike course & closed road/Lakeside run to finish. Good facilities & cafe at Alderford, the staff here were also very helpful in the day. Only thing I would change is maybe locate some more toilets nearer the parking area, in addition to the ones near registration.

Highly recommended no matter your level or experience!

This is a perfect event for a 70.3 first timer, like myself. Loved the swim start going off at intervals and also the break out of the water between swim loops.  Bike route was mostly fast and beautiful countryside once away from the Whitchurch ring road. Traffic on the ring road not ideal for nervous cyclists but the rest of the bike course made up for it.  I thought I'd get bored of 3 loops on the run course but this was broken up nicely with different terrain, much needed feed stations and plenty of support in the afternoon heat.  Would definitely do the event again but stay longer next time!  Thanks to the organisers, marshals and everyone involved in making it the fab event it is.

This event was my first ever triathlon and if this is the standard set by all I cannot wait for my next one! The marshals, staff and hosts were all incredibly friendly and it could not have been hosted in a more beautiful place (weather helped also). The swim was rather technical with a turn going back on yourself but this was highlighted during the race brief. The ride was lovely through the lanes with the road conditions overall being okay. The run is majority a trail run, which is fine as long as you've got some stable runners (my vapourflys weren't ideal). 
as a whole the event was run well, organised and absolutely perfect for a beginner, like myself! Would definitely recommend this event to all!

Very well organised event with generous cut off times so good for first timers. Lake temperature was very nice. The marshalls were enthusiastic and encouraging. Overall a superb event, in a nice location. Highly recomended. Thanks to all those involved in organising and putting the event on.
