The race is one of the most popular in the South of England attracting up to 2500 entrants and has in past years sold out before the event. Famed for the scenic and challenging route (the 300 foot ascent of Spring Hill at Fordcombe is to be mentioned), meticulous organisation by volunteers from Tunbridge Wells Harrier’s, value for money (quality medal, free technical T Shirt for all runners and admin fees included in entry cost) friendly marshals, it was voted the 'Most Improved Race in the UK' in 2009 and was voted the No.2 Half Marathon in the UK in 2011 by Runner's World readers. It is one of the biggest events in the UK organised by runners for runners and Tunbridge Wells Harriers are very proud to be hosting the event for the 35th year. Over the last 5 years alone the race has also donated in excess of over £140,000 to charity and some worthy local causes directly from any race surplus. Last year’s main charities were the Tunbridge Wells Counselling Centre, the Bridge Trust and The Pickering Centre. Next year we hope to continue supporting the Pickering Centre as our main charity along with The Bridge Trust and Tunbridge Wells Counselling Centre, this is to be confirmed. Other local Charities we support are the TW CAB and Compaid. Any donations made with your entry will be shared between the 3 headline charities. Thank you very much for your support.

A bit hilly but good course around Tunbridge Wells, well organised and marshalls very viable.
