Very poor communication on the day. This was the weekend of storm Denis! Not enough updates for people travelling a long way to the race.

some Marshall’s not informed of the race being put back an hour, left standing in the freezing cold wind and rain at 9am but the race was put back to 10am.

Won’t be entering again due to the organisation.

This race was ran in storm Denis. Very poor communication on the day/morning of the event.

When asked questions on the event I found the organisers comments very rude and unhelpful.

The race was put back an hour due to the weather but no one notified the marshalls. We saw a poor old man who was marshalling left standing in the cold, wind and rain at 9am, not being told it was put back. He was frozen.

Will not be entering this race again!

I have ran Tonbridge half before but first time for Tunbridge Wells. Parking in the area was easy enough and collecting your race number, quick and simple. In a nice big sports hall with bag drop, somewhere to keep fairly warm before the start. This is definitely a tough course with ups and downs right from the gun. The toughest hill around mile 7, is a real leg burner, long and steep, with a hill preceding it to warm you up! The marshalling is excellent with lots of staff at every turn. There are 5 drink stations with the largest gap between being 2.5 miles. Easy to collect large cups of water as several people were handing them to you, so no need to stop, thanks everyone. Organisation was spot on, no need to worry about a thing. Entry included a quality, long sleeved running Tee, at the finish you got a bottle of water, a whole banana and various energy products. Not a PB course but a rewarding challenge which is always good to know you got it in the bag.

A lovely run through the countryside. Fast first 10km then the hill! Once you get past the mile hill again a beautiful run with good support coning back into tunbridge wells. Also a chance for a quick beer at the last mile. A good challenge.

Wow, one truly hilly course! Fantastic marshals and so many of them at every junction and enroute. Some good crowd support in the villages along route and on top of the tough hills. One im pleased to tick off my list but think once was enough 🤣

Always a favourite in my running calendar. A challenging course supported well by the Tunbridge Wells residents. Fordcombe Hill is the gift that keeps on giving !!! TW Harriers do a great job every year and is always a well supported event.
