This is a perfect example of a low-key and friendly event. It's free, not timed and no medal so there is no pressure on racing. Registration was easy (just put your details on a paper sign up sheet), there are toilets nearby and the NT parking charge has gone down from £7 to £4 - bargain!
There is lots of mud, many hills, slippery chalk and stunning views on the top of the ridgeway. The finish is by the NT cafe and museum with a great atmosphere when chatting to all of the other runners.
Definitely recommend for every type of runner.
