A really enjoyable trail race. It was hilly but runnable throughout. Well organised and friendly. Highly recommended.

Great race to start the trail running winter season on. Well marshalled, well organised, beers and ciders for first finishers at the end too. Other half liked the cakes and drinks on offer - good value and friendly bakers :-) Will be back next year!

This was my second trail race (my first being the day before I ran this) and I really enjoyed it. It's a small-ish race organised by a local running club (Oxted Runners) but it certainly still packed a punch. Pros Really great medal for an event which isn't organised by a big...

Pros

Really great medal for an event which isn't organised by a big company
Bottle of beer at the finish (I think there might originally have been an option of cider too but that had all gone by the time I came through)
Easy registration and good email communication before the event
Lovely route through a wood. Incredibly hilly and muddy but that's trail for you!
Great cake stall at the end
Free massage! Boy oh boy, my legs appreciated that!

Cons

As usual, a couple too few portaloos
Weirdly, they had us all go into different pens according to how fast we'd run the race, and then moved us all down the road, by which time everyone had moved out of their pen

All in all, a lovely race which I'd definitely do again.
