Everything worked well for us logistically. We would have liked a bag drop at the start just in case the weather was bad, but it wasn’t an issue on the day. Excellent route, would highly recommend especially if like us it’s your first half marathon. Did say never again at the finish line, but I think we will be back next year. We and others had mobile supporters, this really helped. The staff were great and really supportive and engaging

Amazing and well planned event. Only negative is there was no mention of the £2 car parking fee which had to be cash or through an app. As the signal is notoriously bad at the venue many struggled to get the app downloaded and used. I personally found this impossible and couldn’t even get on the centres WiFi. It reduced me to tears and a kind lady gave me cash to get the ticket. Had I known beforehand I could’ve had £2 with me. A little but significant upset for me and maybe others. Other than that I thoroughly enjoyed the day and it was very well organised

- Lovely and friendly and not too big (ie just the right amount of participants). - Nobody could hear the race director give his briefing. Make sure he/she knows how to use a loudhailer and post someone on the edge of the runners, to see if he can be heard (and feedback to him if not). - The cups of water at the end of the race all had flies / bits of debris in. Maybe put a lid on the jug, and don't pour out so many at a time. Also, you could have done with a bin for the water cups after each aid station. Well done for being sustainable, but it felt wrong putting the used paper cups on the ground (so they wouldn't get mixed up with the clean ones).

Thought there was going to be another water station nearer to the finish at about 9 to 10 miles but there was not. This would have been helpful.

The race went very well. The mile markers were exactly correct for the first six miles and off after that. Perhaps the course was marked from both directions? Regardless, the total distance was correct. All information I received was timely and accurate. Well done!
