This was the Third time I'd completed the 50km, and the event just improves year on year, the additional of the aid station at Tonbridge castle was certainly appreciated, the aid station's were well stocked with everything you could wish for to keep you energised and hydrated, fr...

This was the Third time I'd completed the 50km, and the event just improves year on year, the additional of the aid station at Tonbridge castle was certainly appreciated, the aid station's were well stocked with everything you could wish for to keep you energised and hydrated, from Haribo to Watermelon to pretzels to cake, and someone was even giving out"ice poles" . The finish line reception and support made you felt a winner even when you finished in the middle of the pack.

It was my first ultra and it wont be my last. The people racing were friendly and helpful and also the volunteers were incredible. Finish time undertake an ultra marathon and was recommended the Three Castles. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Communication was great, people, staff, aid stations, crowds were totally fantastic and the course was definitely a good challenge, even in the sun! Already signed up for the December’s ultra and already very much looking forward to it. Anyone who is looking for a great day out, for everyone, not just the runners, I would definitely recommend!

3 Castles 50Km: My first Ultra Martathon. Great communication leading up to race day and the registration was smooth and efficient. Definitely good they opened more toilets up at the start as the queues were so long! First 7km a bit narrow so minimal passing places from approx 3-6km. The route is quite open so in the heat that we had it was a scorcher! Great aid stations though. Just would have appreciated a bit more fruit at the last station as it had all gone other than the bananas! Didn't see much food at the end and it was a shame that the hot dogs were actual hotdogs which I don't like! Never mind. Really sustainable event, again, I like an actual metal medal but I understand why they are wood these days and it's great none the less. Staff were brilliant, well signposted route. Lovely atmosphere at the end even if we were near the cut off.
