My first time at the Sprint distance. It was definitely a bigger challenger than the Super Sprint distance that I have entered previously, but all the better for it. A nice atmosphere amongst the entrants as always, and enjoyment is definitely a high priority. The course is well marked plus well thought out. I'm not a specialist cyclist, so don't think you need to be to enter.

Another well-organised, friendly and welcoming event from MCA Fitness. This was my first time taking part in the Woodford Community Duathlon, and I've just realised that I wasn't nervous whilst waiting to start. Andy takes time to explain the event, and the route, before the start, meaning we start knowing everything we need to know to have a great experience. His events always seem to attract a friendly group of people, too, which really helps when attending alone. Keep up the fabulous work!

Well organised event and friendly atmosphere. Would definitely recommend. Unfortunately one of the signs directing us to do a second loop was turned around meaning when I was going at speed on the bike and very tired I didn’t register that the signage I followed was back to base a lap too early causing me to go well off course. I understand everyone else was able to follow the route but in the thick of it I wasn’t able to. My suggestion would be colour coded signs on junctions so when you glance up and see a sign the colour dictates the route around the course and a new colour heading back to the base. Reading the sign going at speed when you’re tired was difficult for me, a colour would really help here.

Great event , no real complaints , well organised , facilities available , medal was ok , staff super friendly and encouraging. I finished last as I’m on a fitness journey and maybe there’s an opportunity to promote newbies to take part or people like myself who are working on fitness but daunted by seasoned participants . I know it’s up to the individual to sign up sometimes they need a nudge , keep up the good work, I’ll be back !
