Loved every moment of this event! The atmosphere was great! A joyous social event, highlighting the plight of the Atlantic Salmon and UK rivers, and the importance of nature conservation. With art, music and singing along the route!

Fantastic event, great route (and challenging!). A really enjoyable day out. It would have been helpful to have the PDF maps and instruction booklet much earlier in the pre-race build up, to allow proper review and even potential recce runs ahead of the event proper. The focus on salmon preservation and river sustainability etc is good, but I felt it pushed the information about the actual run out of the way a bit and it was hard to find out exactly what the route would be and potential issues etc in advance of the run.

Outstanding. My only comment, and it’s a very minor one, was that on one occasion an ultra finished with nobody to receive him on the line. I thought he might have felt deflated by that!

Tell people to close footpath gates, so many fields with livestock in them had gates left open, I think next time there needs to be emphasis on closing gates Ultra runners T-shirts at the finish

I loved the race and the message behind it, it’s a very different race to most which makes it unique and a bit more special. It’s surprising how many people rely on the river exe for everyday life and it needs to be protected.
