I loved the Kingston Half Marathon. The views were great and the numbers were not that high. It was well organised and the fact that all race photos were free was just amazing as I was there on my own. Quite flat terrain, I achieved a PB. It would be perfect if some parts/roads were closed off but it felt like a typical weekly training run, on pavements checking when crossing roads etc. so no issue really. Would happily run it again!

First time doing this event, and I couldn't recommend it more. Lovely volunteers, a flat/fast/well signposted route, plenty of supporters on the way around, and just a gorgeous run through Surrey. Cracking race photos, too! I ran a PB and had a wonderful morning in the process. Will be back!

This was my first half mararthon, though I had run a couple of 10ks in August.
I was doing a coach plan on my watch and this was a couple of weeks early but wanted to run this as I lived around the area when I was younger with my parents. It brought back so many memories as I had walked/jogged so much of the route when I was younger, especially the Hampton Court and Thames Ditton legs.
From the start it was very well organised in the market, although I was able to collect my pack from 'Up and Running' in Teddington the week prior, which made things even easier. People were friendly and the market was a great place for the start/finish line. The route was well marked, the marshalls seemed to be in good numbers and enthusiastic, especially the lady on the bike, as well as the locals too with some playing music and even providing jelly babies.
To top a great morning, the weather was good and I beat the time I was aiming for.
I am now training for a full marathon in the Spring but look forward to running these routes again soon, I cannot recommend The RBK Half Marathon highly enough.
A big thank you to all those involved, from the organisors to the marshalls to the runners and the spectators.

Beautiful course with much of the route along the banks fo the Thames. However some is adjacent to busy public roads and some of the roadside pavement running was uneven. But super flat route, very accessible via train and with great sights. Good post-run eating options near the finish line. Nice size field and decent support in places

It was great to finally be back in a racing atmosphere after the last couple of years - exciting to be standing in a start time pen! The route itself is mainly flat and runs alongside the river on both sides, if you know the area it's great for spectators to be able to move about and support their runners. The start up and finish was in a lovely square which had an artisan foodie market on - lush after a long race. There were plenty of coffee shops open (for pre-race coffees and use of the loos) and the portaloo queues, although long, moved very quickly. Plenty of pre-race info, directions, great marshalling, easy to follow route. All in all, a lovely race. Would recommend it for beginners.
