Really enjoyed it, and would definitely do it again! Enjoyed the course, had a bit of everything including hills! Only issue during the race was towards the end with the marshall not giving clear instructions on the direction of the course so I went down the wrong path. I believe...

It is a long time ago but I remember hills and running through less pleasant parts . The pre-race communications were excessive and unnecessary in part because cheaper entries were being offered - to those who had already paid full entry fees.

It was a must enter event for me personally, being a friend of the late great Dr Ron Hill MBE he inspired and motivated me to my own runstreak which currently stands at 5,933 days. I was honoured to be given the number 108 which was the same number Ron wore in 1970 when he won Commonwealth Marathon Gold in 1970. Loved the event and I'm sure Ron's widow May was very proud to start the race and see so many taking part in the event to honour her wonderful husband. It was lovely to have photo taken with and have a bit chat with May.
