I completed my first RAT 4 years ago, I've been going back ever since, slowly pushing myself and running longer distances. Fantastic event, cant fault it. Well organised, fabulous scenery, everyone is so friendly. Last year one of the race directors kept popping up on route, even knew it was my first ultra, if that doesnt make you feel special!  Everyone gets a fantastic finish, great medal and hugs with another race director, applause whatever your distance.  Fantastic race village and vibe throughout the event.  Can't wait until August again, fingers crossed for me 😁

This is the 2nd time I have participated in the RAT - last year the White 11 mile, this year I upped it to the Red 20 mile race. A fabulous event and hats off to the organisers running it in pretty bad weather conditions. Mudcrew kept up the regular communications regarding all aspects of the event which really helped with the planning and reassurance that they had everything in control. The run was challenging with approx 1450m elevation, amazing views, great camaraderie from fellow competitors of all distances and some fabulous cheering from spectators along the whole route. Checkpoints are very well stocked, marshals really helpful and supportive. Great after party too with plentiful supplies of Cornish Rattler - mmmmm! All round a fantastic event - maybe the Black Rat next year..... :-)

I have raced the whole RAT series of races and the Race Directors run the best races I have done. The communication (and patience with repeated questions) is phenomonel; weekly emails with useful guidance come out for the last 8 weeks. 

Feed stations are all extremely well stocked and manned by experienced runners who understand what you are going through. All the team are cheerful and can do too much to help.
