Fantastic staff, no risk of getting lost, well supported out in the trails. All runners were supportive of each other. Absolutely recommend it.

My first Ultra and I couldn't have chosen a better event! The volunteers were brilliant and the pit stops out of this world. The course was excellent and the markers made it straightforward to navigate. Highly recommended.

The course was well marked, and the entire event was very well organised. Event area had a lovely ‘festival’ vibe. All in all a great event.

Brilliantly organised event, from the pre-event information to on the day registration, aid stations(including vegan friendly snacks) and overall atmosphere! First time doing a Maverick event having heard so many good things, I will definitely be back 🎉

My first ever public run in an event like this! Really well organised, was really pleasantly surprised by the amount of water/gels/snacks were freely avaialble. The course was clearly laid out, plenty of marshalls along the way, and everyone - including other runners - were really nice and encouraging. The area post race was nice as well. with plenty of free drinks, and stalls. We had pizza from the pizza stall after the race, really tasty and much needed! If I could say one thing to improve would be one more water station (not necessarily with all the snacks) as it was a hot day, and once the sun came out it became more difficult.

For those running this in future, be aware that the free car park (in a spacious green field) is a 1.5mile round trip. So it is best to sort yourself out and walk down to the registration area/start and pin your bib on there rather than collect it, go back to your car and then go walk back down again nearer to the start time! Maverick - Please put the Bib collection/registration tent in the car park! A great deal of the route is on chalky rough paths, and overgrown footpaths with barely enough room for one person and overgrown brambles! Also be fully aware, the route is 45% uphill and 45% downhill with very little actually flat. All of the uphill sections will need to be walked! This would be a challenge for a Army trainee, let alone us recreational runners. I made up my walking time by running fast downhill and at mile 18, I paid the price and twisted my left ankle on a protruding flint and fell hitting my head and sustaining injury. Although I protested I was alright, fellow runners came to my rescue and insisted on calling the emergency number. One walked with me for about 2 miles until the paramedic truck met us and a lovely lady Esther, patched up my head wounds. I elected to carry on to actually finish (7 hours 28 minutes) where I was greeted by a lovely lady who knew my name asked how I was and congratulated me on finishing. Esther was also there at the finish and we had a nice chat. I would like to wholeheartedly thank all those concerned that organised this event and for the support and care I received after my fall, which I will never forget. When you ask yourself why you put yourself through this you will know it is because of the camaraderie, especially in those times of difficulty and towards the end. You don't find friendliness, kindness and support like this in normal life, which is why a few days after each event you look forward to the next one. For me it, will be a marathon that is fairly flat and smooth.
