I marked bottlenecks as a 3, but wasn't an issue on a race of this kind. Was only within first couple miles but then thinned out. it is after all a trail run with stys and gates, so to be expected. But overall this has to be one of my most favourite races. Yes the stunning scenery helps, alongside the weather. But the whole atmosphere, feel of it all was exceptional. Loved the race compere at the start. Never felt so motivated! He had a point, all needed to do was eat, drink and move! Would highly recommend and def doing again. Will certainly look to do a longer distance next time, as funnily enough this was a training run for an ultra doing in Sept, that isn't part of the Maverick group.

This is honestly such a cracking event. Have always heard great things about Maverick events so it was great to experience it for myself! Brilliantly organised and a stunning route in the peaks! Will definitely be back for the 50k!

Amazing event. My first time with maverick, my first ultra also. The course was perfect for me, the hill's/peaks and the scenery was perfect. The staff/volunteers/medical team were amazing. Definitely recommend, see you next time.
