Great course and energy with a brilliant race village. I'd recommend the Middle route for Exmoor though, as I found the 5km wasn't able to offer the same great views due to the shorter distance.

Amazing race, I especially loved the downhill sections and i love going fast when downhill as it feels effortless but it's just hard to overtake people on those as they were usually single file sections through the woods. I understand that's the nature of trail races. Unfortunately not all photos are uploaded on the website, as I know pictures were taken as me and my partner went through finish line, but those photos aren't there. It's a shame. I wonder do photographers sometimes lose some pictures? As I'm sure they take loads... similarly I remember on Afan forest race a year ago there were photos missing from the short route.

This is my second time running this race which I ran in 2023 and the logistics have improved loads. What a great atmosphere and route. Loved every minute. The hills are a real killer though!! I think I had rose tinted glasses from last time! Hope to do another Maverick race.
