This was my second time taking part in this event after loving it so much last year. I decided to upgrade from the 5k to the 10k for double the fun! The organisation was, as always, excellent. However, the change of Race Village location this year was a bit of a miss — it lacked the cosy atmosphere of last year. Previously, the start and finish were both within the Alice Holt entrance area, which worked perfectly to keep everything — runners, supporters, and facilities — all in one convenient spot. It was also on flat ground, so no surprise hills right at the finish! Last year also had those special little touches that made the event stand out — like the firepits and marshmallows for finishers, which added a lovely, memorable vibe. This year’s start area was about a third of a mile away from the main entrance, which took away a bit of that togetherness. But aside from that, it was still a fantastic event, and running the trails by night was every bit as magical as before.

First time trying a run like this and would definitely do it again. A bit 'crowded' on the first lap in places. By the time the 5k folks had headed off to their finish it was much quieter. Trail marking was OK, but could have been better - an orange arrow on a blue background isn't great in the dark. The reflective tapes were fine however. Well run and administered by the friendly Maverick team. Thanks very much and see you again next year!

A well marked route, great fun (even once climbed the hills). I wish I'd stopped at the aid station as th marshals sounded very jolly and table looked full, I was trying for a time but on reflection wish had fitted that in too! Photos are special too.

Nicely organized, friendly event, was directed the wrong way when finish, bit frustrating, but overall, good event. Think headtorches should be mandatory, had to help a few 'non-headtorch' wearers out as they were getting lost.
