The route for the most part of this race is quite uninteresting, around local streets, but the main draw is that it starts and finishes at the Royal Air Force Museum, and entry was included in the race purchase.

The event village was crowded at the museum, but the marshals were very adept at herding the runners and their families towards the open spaces, instead of letting them congregate around the exhibits before the race start.

It was a very hot run with little cover, but water was provided at the start, mid race and at the finish. I liked the medal - if you wanted a race t-shirt this was available to purchase separately. Once the race had finished, participants were free to browse the museum at their leisure.

The car park charges were free for participants, but the system for waiving the automatic charge was very confusing and there were large queues of people waiting to leave as a result - my only gripe on the day.

All in all, a nice little 10k, with something a little different about it!

I enjoyed this race, i'm never going to be at the front of a race so cant coment on hoe this would be as a competative race but as a run it was really good. There wasn't too many participants so no barging at the start or getting knocked by faster runners. the location of the start and finish in the Royal Airforce museum was fantastic and probably the best medal i've recieved so far (with a spitfire model on it i'm probably a little biased as i think this is the best plane to ever fly).

incresible to run through the hangars and a well organised well marshalled 10k but the route outside of museum grounds is a bit uninspiring and was a bit narrow for the volume of people, could have done with even 2 waves rather than mass start. Absolutely incredible medal. 

Enjoyed doing this because it was celebrating 100 years if the RAF.  Even didn’t mind buying the tshirt for there own charity. The race however was disappointing. The start was very poorly done too many bunched up people but the loop round the museum was good and the finish through the hanger was good. The route in the town though was poor, nothing closed road wise or route wise so constant dodging cars other racers and passers by. Marshals were great but there weren’t enough to cover all the side roads so was dangerous. Water stop was poo very small table and two people handing drinks out for 600 runners. One to tick off the list but won’t return 

I decided to enter this as it was 100 year of the RAF. The medal was great as was the t shirt, but you had to pay extra for the t shirt. There was lack of Marshall’s on the route and you ran on the path. It felt dangerous in parts as when you got to side roads there were cars, which meant you slowing down. One water station but cups and in a poor place for accessing it. I was looking forward to this event but was disappointed apart from the medal.
