My first ever night run and I absolutely loved it. A very well marked out course with plenty of marshals, felt completely safe, never got lost, and had loads of fun. Look forward to doing the race again next year :)

Few comments for improvement purposes: Great race but entry process was problematic not getting entry after paying, and not being able to use discount codes from others. Recieved two different bib numbers too. On the day course poorly marked in the dark, very few Marshalls, supporters and markers very small and easily missed..confusion at figure of 8 cross over. No guidance. Easy to go wrong in the dark. Canicross would have been better going first as they ran through the masses at speed and nearly tripping people up. Aid stations in wrong places! Needed one at the top of the huge hills, not at mile 1 and 5! Glad I did it but not for me again. Thanks.

Sorry about the problems you had with your booking booking. You hadn't actually paid but your entry was stuck in the system. This is extremely rare and is In fact the only case we know of in Jan, which is our busiest month of the year for registrations. Do please email us with the discount code you were trying to use & we'll look into it and apply it retrospectively to your booking. Other runners have told us the course marking was perfect. Given that every arrow had reflective tape on & we had a number of flashing lights plus reflective snow poles, you may want to look at your headtorch. Having a bright, good quality one does let you see the markers a lot earlier.

So impressed! My son took part in the 1k children's run for 3-7 years old. This is the first time he's done a running event, and he loved it so much, especially the jelly babies afterwards. It was great that we could run with him too. The on site marshals were amazing and encouraged everyone on and there was a great vibe. The communication before and during the event was also spot on. Looking forward to our next event.

The only negative was the car parking was very expensive (£5.50). Collectively, runners must have spent around £1500 on parking at a time when nobody would normally use the car parks. It would be better to arrange for free parking and a slightly higher race

Thanks for the feedback Nick. Unfortunately Forestry England will not budge on the parking fees. They also charge us 20 percent of revenue to use their land which is considerably more than any other landowner charges us.

Sportiva events are always well organised. This hilly night trail 10k was really rough with the hills involved, but a great challenge. It's the hardest I've pushed myself for ages. Loved it!
