The organisers had made every effort possible to make this event feel really like a Christmas event. From snow at the start, to Santa on the truck encouraging us around the course, the rock choir, a fabulous flashing Christmas medal, the jolly snowman, festive goods on sale - as well as the usual festive costumes worn by runners. SO much encouragement all the way round - certainly for those of us at the back - the family fun of the mile race - great to see tiny tots running with their parents - a brilliant event, with very friendly marshalls and staff. The only things which could be improved were the long wait to pick up race numbers and the port-a-loos needed attention well before the race started. But, those problems aside, I definitely hope to be back next year.
