Did this event in pretty terrible weather conditions, but the brilliant course, organisation and enthusiasm of the DB Max Team and Marshalls made it a great event to take part in. Will definitely do another; hopefully the sun will shine, but it won't matter if it doesn't.

Only my second time taking part at this great event. I helped with Marshaling at the 10k before and had a great time near to the finish line. Being a DBMax event, you can expect a very well organised race, with lots of helpful volunteers. The first of the two run laps starts with a helpful briefing and then you are into the 2 mile lap around the outside of the race track. Then five laps of the actual race track on your bike. A very smooth course, no drafting, so keep your distances in mind. And watch out for the headwinds, pretty much a guarantee they will catch you at some point. All of the marshals are very vocal and helpful around transition, so you shouldn't have any issues if you listen. And then another two mile loop to finish. You get a decent medal and pulsin sponsor the event, so free protein bars at the end. I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting a beginner friendly route into multi sport events. Or for the more seasoned athletes for a fitness test. Will be back in November for the chillier version, of the chilly.
