A great flat PB course, well marshalled and registration easy. The finish line being in town on a closed road is also excellent. One of the very best Half Marathons you will find in the west country. The only slight issue was traffic at parts of the course through narrow points, but the views are spectacular, I am waiting for entries to open in 2023.

A super local half marathon event and one for a PB. This is my first ever half marathon race and I have revisited every year since! A well supported event with good aid and marshal stations. Not closed road but felt safe throughout. Great T-shirt and medal which add to the draw of competing this event!

This Half Marathon was ok, Not closed roads as advertised. Other than that a pretty average Half Marathon with some support. This year was quite warm and zapped me of some energy. But a good effort all round from the organisers. The goody bag including race t shirt were good the medal was nice too.

This was my first organised half marathon and I was really looking forward to it. The registration, parking and toilets were excellent but things seemed to go downhill from there. We were all waiting ready to start when an ice cream van appeared at the back of the crowd and proceeded to make its way through the crowd past the start line! The race started and pretty soon we were out of the centre of Tewkesbury where we were running on roads where we had to dodge the traffic as there didn’t appear to be the stated road closures. I felt unsafe and quite anxious and it was very nerve wracking and I don’t think I was the only one feeling like this. I was very pleased to see the finish but was disappointed that they’d run out tee shirts in my size and the goody bag was woefully short of goodies!!! Not the experience I was hoping for and one I won’t be repeating.

The event was advertised as a "road closed" event but it wasn't, only the start and finish were traffic free. (Except for the ice-cream van that drove through the runners waiting on the start line) I felt very vulnerable for most of the course as traffic was passing by very close to me. I probably wouldn't have entered if I'd known, but all the information said that there were "closed roads throughout" Sadly a disappointing event as they didn't even have the right size t-shirt at the end. On the plus side the marshals and the locals were very supportive.

My first time running this event, as also as a pacer for the 2hr15 group. Registration was easy, via the let's do this portal, I was given a place as pacing so my entry was free, but price was good for a half. Information in the build up was good, through all social media channels, website and emails. Parking was easy in the Race HQ field, with a good amount of toilets available for the size of the field. Race bib pick up straightforward either the day before on the the day. A 5 min walk to the start, ideal to warm up in. Was a little tricky to hear the pre race announcements in the back half of the runners lined up to Starr. The route is predominantly flat, just a few short climbs up some road flyovers and back down again. Begins with the first few miles through the town before heading through some pretty surrounding villages. Marshaling was well deployed, which was needed as most of the route was on open roads, with traffic quite close. There were one or two pinch points where the amount of runners and two way traffic caused some issues, but on the whole it was vert well handled. Support through the town was good, and some really noisy pockets of well wishers on the villages, one house stood out as having set up their own aid station with drinks, snacks, fruit and sweets, together with an impressive sound system! 4 official water station on route, water in bottles, with areas to dispose of bottles clearly marked. Fi is was back in the town high street, with great support on the final straight. Nice medal and tee shirt at the end, together with a drawstring bag and a few giveaways inside. A very well organised event good for first timers and PB hunters, although traffic on route may put a few off doing it.

As a new runner and being born and bred in Tewkesbury I was really excited for this race, especially as I was offered the chance to take in the scenery and pace 2hrs.

upon arrival I was disappointed that they had messed up the orders and was left with a 10ft flag to carry (needless to say I dropped it after mile 2)

the course was a little disappointing and there were long stretches with poor scenery and no support however the organisation was great. The new finish in the high st was a massive highlight and I would deffo recommend this course for first timers and PB chasers alike
